This what the ERP developers are trying to do. At the end, those section are part of 1 organization. Reports, data generated by one section might be used by other section. So, if the data is under 1 platform or if not, they're interfaced with each other, the data then can be used/ referred to by others. This way, you cut data storage duplication, faster data finding etc etc.
